Den of inventive comfort food
Popular plate: Kudos goes out to the kitchen for combining two of the world’s greatest things in its ‘bacon jam’ starter. It’s difficult to say no to glazed, thick cut bacon served with gooey baked brie.
Word to the wise: Get there early – a cocktail by the outdoor fire pit is a surefire way of getting your evening off on the right foot.
Need a trip away from the strip? Giving a nod to the loft-style eateries of LA, this two-floor industrial space in the Downtown district targets gourmands over gamblers, with its small-scale menu of sharing plates and big, bold mains an undisputed hit with the hip set.
Testament to the city’s evolving foodie scene, the vibe is low-key and creative, with local artworks adorning walls and an eclectic clientele congregating in the light-strung rooftop patio.
Mostly, you’ll see folk digging into all-American plates, such as crispy chicken skins with smoked honey or a decadent butter burger with tater tots, but there’s a few foreign flavours thrown in for good measure (think rabbit ragu with squash or gyro tacos) and an incredible dessert list to boot.
